For this assignment, I used a more intentional AI prompt by telling ChatGPT to use my original resume from the chat sources as the base document and generate an alternate version targeted specifically toward marketing and management roles. I also guided the AI to reframe my existing experience and skills so they would align with that audience while still staying accurate to my real background. This made the prompt more effective because it included context, a clear task, constraints, and a specific professional goal.

The biggest change between my original resume and the AI-generated version was the wording and emphasis. My original resume listed my experience in a more general way, while the new version highlighted transferable skills that are more relevant to marketing and management, such as leadership, customer engagement, communication, organization, operations, and team support. It sounded more polished and tailored to a business-focused employer.

From this process, I learned that prompt engineering is really about giving clear and specific instructions so the AI can produce better results. I also learned that tailoring content for a certain audience can make the same experiences appear much stronger and more relevant.
